STOPit App Hotline

Creating Safer Places to Learn

Maintaining a positive school climate and getting students the help they need is the primary goal at St. Teresa’s Academy. In an effort to be proactive, students are encouraged to report inappropriate behaviors that may include but are not limited to bullying, harassment, or intimidation using the STOPit solutions app.

Students are encouraged to first report such issues directly to a teacher, counselor, coach, or school administrator. However, in some cases, a student may be overcome with fear and worry about who to talk to or what to say. She may fear retaliation or loss of respect from her peers.

Students with such fears need a reporting path and the STOPit app is designed to offer just that. With the app, she may report anonymously via mobile app or the STOPit website. The STOPit App is modern and easy to use with the ability for reporters to easily attach photos or videos. Encrypted and anonymous messaging allows for back-and-forth communication about an incident through an interface that looks and acts like texting. The system is 100% anonymous, 100% of the time.

St. Teresa’s Academy Resources
STA’s goal is to ensure that each student feels comfortable coming forward, either face- to-face or anonymously. Encourage your daughter to use all the services that are offered by St. Teresa’s Academy to help resolve any issues that they may face. We are here to help, but we can’t help if we don’t know.

As a parent, you are also welcome to report issues. Please inform us of anything that you think we should know to ensure the health and safety of our students.

If you have any questions, or require further information, please contact Amanda Whitcomb, personal counselor, at 816-501-0039 or, or visit STOPit K-12 Solutions to learn more.
